The Icon Onkyo P-80 preamplifier sets new standards in the world of hi-fi: thanks to patented DIDRC technology, high-frequency noise is specifically reduced in the DAC filter section and phono stage, resulting in a more emotional, detailed sound image – even during demanding passages.
Combined with robust connectivity, the P-80 offers instant streaming capabilities: Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, TuneIn, QQ Music and Google Cast are available, complemented by AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth. It is Roon Ready for multi-room setups and can be conveniently controlled via the Onkyo Controller or the Onkyo app. The phono stage impresses with a high-quality MM/MC preamplifier, allowing turntables to shine in analogue mode without compromising on playback quality.
Processing and sound reproduction also benefit from a fanless, low-vibration housing: the 5 mm aluminium front panel and extruded aluminium heat sink ensure low noise and stable operating values. Dirac Live Room Correction (limited version 20 Hz–500 Hz; DLBC/ART option) optimises the room sound and creates a precise, balanced image in the listening room. The 3-part housing concept further minimises vibrations, contributing to clear, unadulterated sound reproduction.
